When there is no turning back, then we should only concern ourselves with the

best way of going forwards

At Team NLP we are now gearing up to our conference on the 22nd January 2022 with the title 'How to future proof your life'.  We have six speakers, all members of Team NLP, who will be sharing their top tips on different areas of our lives as we move into uncertain territory again at the start of 2022.  More news about how to sign up next time!  For now keep the date clear!

I thought I would share a few of my early thoughts on the topic to get you thinking...  We often hear that with every challenge comes opportunity. If you have been waiting for a sign to make a change, the next normal may have sped it up for you.  It certainly has for me both in my personal and business life.

3 Tips to Practice

In an already fast-paced and often superficial social media world, the power of authenticity is increasingly gaining popularity. Appearing as our true authentic self by embracing imperfection and being real about our current struggles enables us to form deeper and more meaningful connections. During uncertain times, we put a higher emphasis on the relationships we hold dear and feel more connected to individuals we can relate with.

Living with authenticity also allows us to align ourselves with our personal values and pursue what we truly desire. Many of us have already questioned our way of 'being and doing' since the outbreak and how we want to move forward post-pandemic. We are more eager than ever to live a meaningful life that has a true impact.

Embracing authenticity ignites our creativity, increases our productivity, and ultimately leads to an improved wellbeing. Embracing uncertainty, questioning our way of being, and permitting ourselves to show up authentically will help us transition into the next normal.

Three tips to practice:

  1. Imperfection over perfection - NLP teaches us to best the best we can be and do the best we can with what we know right now.  And, to keep learning.
  2. Actively create what you want in your life - NLP teaches us to take personal responsibility from what happens in your life and to learn from it so you can make different and more meaningful choices in the future.
  3. Following desires and values - NLP teaches us to understand what is most important to you and to focus on that as far as you can.  Why waste your life on something that you do not really care about?  How have your values shifted during the pandemic, and, how can you ensure that you retain your focus as life takes a more familiar route once again?

Have an amazing week.
