Do you want to change the lives of others?
Mar 20, 2023
On Mother's Day I'd like to first mention my Mother who passed away back in 2015. I miss her every day. She was a fiercely determined and ambitious woman, not so much for herself but definitely for her children. I am certain it's where my focus and drive comes from. Thank you Mum!
Her ambition for me inspired me to go to university, the first one in my family, and to create an opportunity to go and work for one of the big 4 consulting firms and then to start my own business back in 2005. I always remember that my Mum was horrified when I left my secure consulting role to set up by myself. It was a challenge explaining why and all about the passion I was developing for Neuro Linguistic Programming. Few in my Mother's generation had ever thought about personal development and changing aspects of their lives. One of the funniest things that happened was when she bought copies of my first book 'Change Your Life with NLP' for all my Aunts and Uncles for Christmas because then I knew that I was back on track, in her eyes anyway! I bet they were rather bemused by their gift as they would have all been well into their 70's by then.
Fast forward and I am now able to train trainers of NLP. To help build a tribe of people who can change the lives of others for the better. I am proud of that. I am also proud of the fact that at Team NLP we have been busy creating a hybrid NLP Trainer's Training that is a mix of online and face to face development making it more flexible and accessible to those with busy lives.
