Auguri or Congratulations

Happy New Year to you all.  I am out in Italy In a wonderful hilltop village called Perinaldo in Liguria.  This morning, while out for our morning coffee Italian style, I noticed this lovely decoration on the wall of the cafe that was made by the local school children.  It says 'Auguri' which means best wishes or congratulations.  It got me thinking of what would you want to be able to congratulate yourself for 12 months from today on Sunday 5th January 2025? 

Often we set New Years resolutions that are not realistic and they are abandoned before the end of January!  Instead, this year think about small steps or goals that are achievable and realistic for you so that in a year's time you can give yourself a big pat on the back and say a genuine CONGRATULATIONS to yourself. Consider all the areas of your life...things like your work, health, relationship, personal development and agree with yourself where your priorities are.  Keep things simple and in a chunk size that works for you. Let's all agree here and now to aim to congratulate ourselves on the 5th January 2025 with at least achieving one goal.

I often don't hear from my those on my list. Yet, I know that many of you do read what I create.  Yesterday, I had a lovely message from someone who listened to my New Year facebook live in 2018!  On the live I suggested making a 3-month plan for each quarter of the year which he did successfully for 18 months.  He came back to this idea 15 months ago and has been using it ever since.  He wrote to thank me as it had been a major inspiration in his life which he now wants to share with others.  These messages make my heart happy.
